Notice is hereby given that the assessment roll of the Village of Girouxville, made under the provisions of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26., has been prepared and will be open to inspection at the Municipal Office in Girouxville during business hours. Any person who desires to object to the entry of his/her name or that of any other person upon the said roll or the assessed value placed upon any property must, within sixty (60) days from the notice of assessment date of June 7, 2021, lodge his/her complaint(s) in writing with the Village of Girouxville.
Combined Assessment/Tax notices were mailed May 28, 2021. As per Section 311 and 337 of the Municipal Government Act, all assessed persons are deemed to have received their assessments and tax notices 7 days after being sent.
Ay person who wishes to appeal his/her assessment must do so in writing, by August 6, 2021 using the Government of Alberta Assessment Review Board Complaint form, or as otherwise provided for by Ministerial Order, to be valid, along with a $50.00 appeal fee.
